[LCC] Davidson on Verstraete's and Hubbard's reviews

hmmm...would it be fair to say that Davidson ultimately resorts to ad 
hominem attacks in defense of the criticism aimed at the weaker aspects 
of his argument (or what Hubbard calls "an insufferable cesspool of 
dross")?  And if so, what does this say about the editorial policies of 
the BMCR?
