Congratulations to our 2017 LCC Award Winners!

Paul Rehak Award for published scholarship:
Kate Gilhuly (Wellesley College) "Lesbians are not from Lesbos," in Ruby Blondell and Kirk Ormand (eds.), Ancient Sex: New Essays. Columbus: Ohio State University Press. 2015. 143-176.
Graduate Student Award for an oral paper:
Tom Sapsford (USC) "Saltatores vel pantomimi: Where and How Did the cinaedi Perform?" (SCS 2016)
LCC Activism Award: Bruce Frier (University of Michigan) for his tireless work on behalf of LGBT rights. In the mid 2000s, he led a task force to prohibit discrimination on the basis of gender identity and expression at Michigan, and then spearheaded a national campaign.
